About The Position

Bridge Defense is seeking Cartographic Analysts for full-time salaried positions supporting an Intelligence Community partner. This is a pipeline/future needs position. The GIS / Cartographic Analyst - Journeyman will work within a government/contractor team environment providing Digital Nautical Chart and Electronic Nautical Chart Conversion, Production and Review as well as provide support to existing and developing mission areas. Future needs and capabilities, as well as developmental assignments, are included.

Requirements

  • A total of 5 points of relevant background via one of the following pathways: High School diploma and 5 years of relevant military or full-time geospatial professional experience; High School diploma and 4 years of experience plus GPC Level I and II certification; Relevant bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in geography, cartography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), with proficiency in ArcGIS applications.
  • Knowledge of digital cartography, GIS production techniques, and other maritime digital data formats.
  • Ability to analyze imagery and non-imagery source data for hydrographic products and databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to and apply IC analytic tradecraft standards (e.g. ICDS 203, 206, 208…)
  • Excellent oral, writing, and coordination skills to communicate factual information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, often under pressure and tight deadlines that meets or exceeds established analytical standards.
  • TS/SCI Clearance (with CI Poly, or willingness to sit for CI Poly)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Nautical Maritime domains.
  • BA degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Ability to operate across traditional technical boundaries, comfortable working in the compute space as well as the storage space in an operational capacity.
  • Technically curious and driven to learn new skills.
