About The Position
Meijer is seeking an entry-level Courtesy Team Member who enjoys interacting with people and providing above-and-beyond customer service. The role includes retail tasks and support for additional store services, products, and customer service. Cart attendants return shopping carts from outside to the store interior, maintain cleanliness inside and around the store, assist with snow removal, and handle perishable and salvage returns. Team members work with the service desk, store entrance, checkout lanes, parking lot, and a variety of store departments. Other duties may be assigned or required.
Requirements
- Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
- Great listening and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product or using equipment.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
- Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
- Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
- Handle perishable and salvage returns.
- Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
- Work with the service desk, store entrance, checkout lanes, and parking lot areas.
- Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
