About The Position

The Cart Operator ensures that shipments meet plant order requirements by packaging the correct product according to plant instructions and verifying that bag weights are within the specified range. This role also involves sorting and distributing supersacks and loading packaged trucks. This is a third shift position with hours from 8 PM to 6 AM.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be able to train and qualify to operate a lift truck.
Ability to read and comprehend safety policy manuals, SOP’s, SDS, and various production schedules/reports.
Must be able to speak and read the English language fluently.
Good overall communication skills with employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Sets up bagging carts under the correct tank.
Operates and monitors bagging systems, ensuring bag weights are within specification. This includes manual and automatic systems, and supersack filling. Manual stacking may be required occasionally.
Services and repairs equipment as scheduled or directed.
Keeps the palletizer supplied with pallets, dividers, and other necessary supplies.
Warehouses, scans, and records finished product inventory.
Inspects trucks and loads them according to plant instructions.
Fills out required paperwork, including plant orders, sample tags, and lift truck inspection reports.
Stencils product with customer information, re-palletizes product, and dumps non-conforming product.
Maintains a neat and safe work area, warehouse, and the outside of the plant through good housekeeping practices.
Works closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure an adequate supply of supersacks.
Learns and observes all applicable company policies and safe practices.
Performs all duties assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Assures compliance with the ISO 9001 quality standard.
Maintains compliance with the Huber Sustainability Management System, including any air permits, wastewater permits, stormwater permits, or other applicable rules.
