About The Position

The Cart Operator ensures that shipments meet plant order requirements by packaging the correct product according to plant instructions, verifying bag weights are within the specified range, sorting and distributing supersacks, and loading packaged trucks. This is a third shift position with hours from 8 PM to 6 AM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to train and qualify to operate a lift truck.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety policy manuals, SOP’s, SDS, and various production schedules/reports.
  • Must be able to speak and read the English language fluently.
  • Good overall communication skills with employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with the Huber Sustainability Management System.
  • Set up bagging carts under the correct tank.
  • Operate and monitor bagging systems, ensuring bag weights are within specification.
  • Perform manual stacking as needed.
  • Service and repair equipment as scheduled or directed.
  • Supply the palletizer with pallets, dividers, and other necessary supplies.
  • Warehouse, scan, and record finished product inventory.
  • Inspect trucks and load them according to plant instructions.
  • Complete paperwork, including plant orders, sample tags, and lift truck inspection reports.
  • Stencil product with customer information, re-palletize product, and handle non-conforming product.
  • Maintain a neat and safe work area, warehouse, and exterior of the plant through good housekeeping.
  • Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to ensure an adequate supply of supersacks.
  • Learn and observe all applicable company policies and safe practices.
  • Perform all duties assigned by the Production Supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 quality standard.
