Cart and Range Attendant - Pheasant Run Golf Club (Variable Hour)
About The Position
The Cart and Range Attendant is responsible for bringing golf carts to the staging area and for providing assistance to the Head Golf Professional. This is a variable-hour position where work assignments and hours are scheduled based on availability, division requirements, and within the confines of the budget. Schedules and work hours are not guaranteed and are subject to change at any time due to division needs, budgeting constraints, and staff availability. Variable-hour employees may remain on the schedule year-round. Hours will fluctuate week to week based on the operational needs of the department. An employee in this position will primarily work during a defined season and may be scheduled to work intermittently during the remainder of the year. This is an at-will position. Hours are limited and will vary based on the operational needs of the department. Employees in this position will be classified as variable hour employees.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a current, valid Driver's License with a driving history that does not create liability concerns, such as convictions for reckless driving, careless driving, suspended license, or convictions involving drinking and impaired driving
- Must be an ambitious, honest, and dependable person
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with patrons, residents, vendors, Township employees, Elected Officials, and the general public
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Bringing golf carts to the staging area
- Providing assistance to the Head Golf Professional
- Communicating effectively with the public and Township employees
- Assisting customers with loading and unloading golf bags to and from cars
- Keeping the range tee clean by picking up baskets and debris
- Changing tee areas
- Picking up the range at the end of the day
- Cleaning and washing range balls as they are picked up
- Staging carts in the proper area
- Ensuring carts have scorecards and pencils
- Checking carts for proper operation
- Checking and filling carts with gas
- Cleaning and washing carts
- Keeping all working areas clean
- Performing other duties as assigned
