Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant dispatch or brokerage experience is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an aptitude for learning systems like EveryFleet and RMIS.
  • Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence positive behavior with drivers and brokers.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives based on cost, customer expectations, and needs.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and organize information under pressure.
  • Excellent math and conflict-resolution skills, maintaining a professional demeanor during shipment issues.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment; must be able to handle emergency calls after standard business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Review new and existing carrier documentation (COIs, Brokerage agreements, etc.) through RMIS. Must know insurance requirements and understand basic policies.
  • Coordinate with carriers and insurance agents regarding document requirements.
  • Help maintain active carrier profiles in EveryFleet through RMIS.
  • Distribute application links to prospective carriers through RMIS.
  • Review carrier loads every morning and update as needed. Assign and dispatch loads to carriers effectively.
  • Communicate with carriers on ETAs and update Operations/Dealer Relations regarding any delays.
  • Understand carrier needs and preferred lanes while building and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Work with carriers for specific load coverage and educate them on the EveryFleet Admin Portal and Driver app.
  • Collaborate with regional dispatchers to develop the most efficient loads for carrier and VTC needs.
  • Input client data accurately, provide updates to clients, and ensure correct dates/times are updated client apps.
  • Update the Secondary Market sheet with carriers, dates, and times.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the VTC contracted network and client applications.
