The Key Carrier role is an elevated extension of the Coordinator role. Key Carriers alternate their role based on store needs, predominantly performing the role of Coordinator and occasionally acting as Key Carrier, taking on a leadership role in maintaining all aspects of the store. Key Carriers must have open availability, including nights and weekends. This role models exceptional customer service, creates a positive internal and external customer experience, and promotes a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality. The Key Carrier acts as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policy and procedure, and ensures the store team performs tasks and activities in accordance with the store plan, prioritizing as needed. They address immediate customer service issues, provide appropriate coaching to Associates, and exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers. The role ensures accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience and ensures Associates adhere to all operational procedures. They communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, providing progress updates. The Key Carrier provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback, and offers feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates. They partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness and ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures. Additionally, they promote credit and loyalty programs, support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs, and promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment. Other duties as assigned.
