About The Position

Dynamic Connections is seeking a Carrier Capacity Representative to join their reefer division. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong carrier relationships while supporting the sales and operations teams. The ideal candidate is proactive, driven, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering solutions, building lasting partnerships, and contributing to the long-term success of the team. The role involves tackling complex logistics challenges to simplify customers' lives. Requirements

  • Accuracy and efficiency in dispatching loads, completing administrative duties, and updating tools like our transportation management system in a timely manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence to negotiate rates and influence outcomes.
  • A results-oriented approach, demonstrated through meeting daily targets for quotes, pre-calls, and tenders, as well as driving year-over-year carrier growth.
  • Self-motivation and accountability.
  • A relentless desire to win, go above and beyond, and inspire your team through commitment and perseverance.
  • 2–3 years of experience in carrier sales, dispatch, or logistics operations.

Responsibilities

  • Actively source, negotiate, and grow carrier partnerships that support business growth and align with company financial targets.
  • Work hand-in-hand with sales and operations to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier dispatchers and internal teams.
  • Dispatch loads, complete administrative duties, and update the transportation management system in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify potential issues, create solutions, and escalate when necessary.
  • Negotiate rates and influence outcomes.
  • Meet daily targets for quotes, pre-calls, and tenders, and drive year-over-year carrier growth.
  • Proactively identify and qualify asset-based carriers to service recurring lanes and project freight.
  • Execute purchasing strategies that improve margin consistency.
  • Negotiate standing orders and dedicated pricing with carriers, moving relationships from transactional spot-rates to contract rates.
  • Monitor market indices (DAT, FreightWaves, etc.) to ensure procurement costs remain competitive.
  • Ensure carriers onboarded adhere to service requirements for the specific lanes they service (tracking, equipment quality, on-time performance).
  • Maintain accurate and actionable carrier profiles, lane preferences, and rate history in the TMS (Revenova).
  • Act as the primary escalation point for managed strategic carriers, solving high-level issues that threaten the relationship.
