About The Position

Assist in completing construction and other tasks in a safe and productive manner while providing a positive construction experience for our patrons.

Requirements

  • Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1 year or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of construction skills.
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Continuously exposed or required to: Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
  • Noisy conditions
  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • Work at varying heights and/or in confined spaces
  • Lift 71-100 lbs and push/pull heavy objects
  • Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
  • Employment may be contingent upon receipt of an acceptable and job-related background check, drug test, motor vehicle report, and/or reference check, as applicable and permissible by law.

Responsibilities

  • Practice proper construction methods with on the job training
  • Ability to properly use hand and power tools, climb ladders, and measure and square projects without direct supervision in the construction of commercial or farm buildings and/or grain systems.
  • Able to use necessary equipment to complete projects: Forklifts, Backhoe, Trencher, Scissor Lift, Various power and other operating tools
  • Complete jobs in a timely, safe manner.
  • Perform necessary maintenance on trucks, tools and equipment.
  • Keep clean and safe job sites.
  • Attend company and department meetings and training programs.
  • Follow all company policies, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
