About The Position

RMC Resort Management is seeking a Carpenter to join their team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring vacation rentals are guest-ready by performing general and finish carpentry. This includes repairing and installing doors, frames, locks, trim, baseboards, cabinets, shelving, stairs, railings, decks, and flooring. You will also build and modify custom fixtures and furniture, and handle related drywall, paint, caulk, and hardware touch-ups. The role involves diagnosing damage, selecting appropriate materials and tools, adhering to codes and safety rules, and documenting work. Close coordination with the operations team is required, along with a fast response to urgent issues that may impact current guests.

Requirements

Proven carpentry experience in property, maintenance, or engineering environments.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Attention to detail.
Customer-focused communication.
Ability to lift, climb, and work hands-on across multiple homes.

Responsibilities

Perform general and finish carpentry: repair/install doors and frames, locks, trim, baseboards, cabinets, shelving, stairs/railings, decks, and flooring.
Build/modify custom fixtures and furniture.
Handle related drywall, paint, caulk, and hardware touch-ups.
Diagnose damage, choose the right materials and tools, follow codes and safety rules.
Document work with notes/photos/receipts.
Coordinate closely with operations and respond fast when an urgent issue could impact a current guest.
Perform daily routes of homes, including planned and urgent tasks.
Stay current on documentation, including uploading photos and logging materials.
Pivot quickly to address same-day arrival needs.
Keep the operations team informed.
Clean workspaces, haul debris, and perform final quality/safety checks.
Provide clear daily updates on completed work, material needs, and upcoming priorities.
