About The Position

Archer Western Construction, LLC is seeking a Carpenter for the PR3 Pumping & Conveyance Volume 3 - Reservoir Pump Station project in Arcadia, Florida. The Carpenter constructs, erects, and installs structures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines. Work may take place on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects. Requirements

Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and potentially work in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to comply with safety policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
Good manual dexterity; able to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Nice To Haves

3–5 years of verifiable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Measure distances and mark guidelines on working surfaces to prepare for laying down work.
Prepare, build, and install wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drain structures, walls, and other structures.
May assist with installing awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs when the decking is removed.
Use a carpenter’s belt, carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
