About The Position

Holder Construction is seeking a Carpenter to join their Operations team for a project in Sparks, NV. This is a full-time position. The role involves constructing and maintaining safety features, as well as performing various tasks such as sawing, stripping, nailing, measuring, and drilling. Experience with concrete is highly valued.

Requirements

5 years of construction experience.
Ability to read basic drawings.
Training on construction safety protocols (i.e. OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform (boom and scissor)).
Agile/mobile.
Remain alert.
Able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
Use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects.
Climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
Work on uneven surfaces/heights.
Able to read/write.
Can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
Able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

Constructing and maintaining safety handrails and hole protection, steps and gang ladders, temporary weather enclosures and protection.
Sawing, stripping, nailing, measuring, drilling, and other duties assigned by supervisor.
Provide primary support to field supervision.
Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks.
Maintain professionalism.
Use critical thinking to solve issues.
