Requirements

GED or Hogh School Diploma
Must have experience in furniture repairs, furniture and woodwork re-finishing, cabinet making, framing & finishing carpentry.
Must have strong problem-solving skills.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must have the ability to maintain a high level of energy and take proactive and strategic approach to issues.
Must have the ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Must have the ability to work as a team or on your own.
Must be able to communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization.
Must be highly organized and detailed.
Must have three years’ experience in the carpentry trade.
Must be able to work alone or as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
Must be dependable and reliable.
Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to issues.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization.
Highly organized and detail-oriented

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of basic computer skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair furniture in a hotel / casino environment which includes refinishing and/or structural repairs.
Frame out walls for small construction projects happening on property.
Assist with the installation of drywall.
Perform cabinetry repairs.
Perform finished carpentry such as installing various types of molding and trim work.
Perform staining and finishing of newly installed woodwork.
Hanging doors and repairing doors and hardware.
Complete any special requests that come from other departments on property as they pertain to the carpentry trade.
Working as part of a team you must be willing and able to help in other areas of the Facilities department when needed.
Design and implement plans for new installations.
Coordinate and schedule outside contractors as needed.
