About The Position

Universal Windows Direct is seeking a 1099 subcontractor installer for windows, doors, siding, and gutters. The Installer is responsible for accurately and professionally installing products at job sites according to company procedures and to the customer’s satisfaction, while maintaining Universal Windows Direct’s positive image, brand, and reputation. Most of the company’s business is windows, so replacement-window experience is required.

The Installer provides remodeling expertise, maintains a pleasant and professional manner with customers, respects customers’ property, leaves work areas clean, explains the functionality and care of new installations, and completes required paperwork, photos, and other documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of carpentry, trim carpentry, construction, or in-home renovation experience.
• Experience with replacement windows.
• Ability to take accurate measurements using a tape measure, level, and combination square.
• Own equipment and ability to use power tools, such as a drill and jigsaw.
• General liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance, or ability to obtain them.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Reliable transportation to safely transport products to work locations.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install company products accurately and professionally at job sites, following company procedures and meeting customer expectations.
• Provide remodeling expertise in windows, doors, siding, and gutters, including replacement windows.
• Maintain a pleasant and professional attitude when interacting with customers.
• Respect customers’ property and leave work areas clean.
• Explain the functionality, care, and upkeep of new installations to customers.
• Accurately complete and submit required paperwork, photos, and other documentation.
• Maintain the company’s positive image, brand, and reputation.
