What you get to do: You will roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty, and perform carpentry work in order to keep our parks looking sharp. Specifically, you will: Perform all functions of general carpentry work for in-park builds, repairs, installations, providing a safe environment for guests and employees. Select proper materials for jobs Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of onsite experience in the carpentry trade
Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a SEA driver’s license
Experience with cabinet building and framing, fabrications of solid surface and laminate countertops, roof repairs, drywall installation, concrete work, and more.
Ability to work with blueprints or in-depth sketches
Ability to operate and maintain power and hand tools and other equipment in good safe condition and extensive knowledge in operation of a wide range of power and hand tools (i.e. table saw, bandsaw, panel saw, routers, planers, compound miter saws)
Must be able to quote new projects and work with supply vendors on ordering the correct materials to complete a given project
Must be a self-starter and able to organize and plan out new construction and also remodeling and repair work without supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English Language
Possess basic mathematical skills
Work at heights above 150ft, work on scaffolding up to 24 ft., and ability to climb and work off of ladders
Must be able to walk uphill 35-40 degree slopes and stand/ walk for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions
Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, loud noises/vibrations and cold/heat temperature extremes
Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations
Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards

Responsibilities

Complete tasks assigned within time constraints implied by park guidelines
Provides support in troubleshooting carpentry problems with the ride or throughout the park
Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
