About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter for our Resort Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving various structures and finishes throughout the resort, including carpentry, drywall repair, and painting projects. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of resort facilities for our guests and staff. You will work closely with other technicians and departments to help maintain the high standards and overall guest experience of the resort.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and resort policies.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in carpentry
• Experience working in a resort or hospitality environment
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installation work involving carpentry, drywall, and painting throughout the resort
• Repair and maintain walls, ceilings, doors, trim, cabinetry, furniture, and other structural components as needed
• Prepare surfaces and complete interior and exterior painting projects to maintain resort appearance standards
• Respond to guest and departmental maintenance requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and completed projects
• Collaborate with other technicians and resort staff to ensure projects and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and resort policies
• Use strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently to complete projects to the highest quality standards
• Assist with preventative maintenance and renovation projects as assigned throughout the resort
