About The Position

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Carpenters for projects located in the Fountain Valley, CA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $30-40/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Install and finish trim, moldings, baseboards, casings, and other detailed woodwork in residential and commercial settings Perform high-quality finish carpentry tasks, including sanding, staining, painting, and caulking to ensure a flawless final product Work with a variety of trim profiles and finishes, including custom and pre-made options Ensure accurate measurements and cuts, and work from blueprints, drawings, or other specifications Fabricate custom wood pieces, including cabinets, countertops, doors, windows, and furniture, based on project requirements Work with a variety of wood materials and finishes, such as hardwoods, plywood, MDF, and veneers Use tools like table saws, routers, planers, and sanders to produce high-quality millwork items Perform detailed joinery, including dovetail, mortise-and-tenon, and other advanced woodworking techniques Construct and assemble custom sets and props for theater, film, and TV productions Work with a variety of materials including wood, foam, metal, and plastics to build large-scale and intricate props Follow detailed blueprints and specifications provided by designers and directors Be prepared to adapt quickly to project needs, including last-minute design changes or alterations

Responsibilities

  • Install and finish trim, moldings, baseboards, casings, and other detailed woodwork in residential and commercial settings
  • Perform high-quality finish carpentry tasks, including sanding, staining, painting, and caulking to ensure a flawless final product
  • Work with a variety of trim profiles and finishes, including custom and pre-made options
  • Ensure accurate measurements and cuts, and work from blueprints, drawings, or other specifications
  • Fabricate custom wood pieces, including cabinets, countertops, doors, windows, and furniture, based on project requirements
  • Work with a variety of wood materials and finishes, such as hardwoods, plywood, MDF, and veneers
  • Use tools like table saws, routers, planers, and sanders to produce high-quality millwork items
