About The Position

As our Carpenter, you will construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures using wood, metal, and other materials, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. We'll count on you to interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials accurately, and collaborate with the construction team to deliver projects safely and efficiently. In this key role, you’ll need strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to evolving project demands while maintaining a commitment to safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Carpentry experience in commercial construction.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools customary to the job.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders frequently.
  • Ability to walk on uneven ground and work above ground on scaffolds.
  • Ability to stand for up to seven hours during an eight-hour shift.
  • Ability to maintain balance on uneven surfaces and scaffolding at various heights.
  • Good finger manipulation is essential to handle tools effectively and operate equipment.
  • Ability to carry and use hand tools, climb on both light and heavy equipment, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance required for heavier items.
  • Must have depth perception to navigate safely around hazards.
  • Ability to hear horns and sirens on moving equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in temperatures from 25 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures using wood, metal, and other materials.
  • Interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials accurately.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
  • Construct and assemble wood and other materials to build structural frameworks for walls, floors, and roofs in compliance with blueprints and building codes.
  • Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, molding, and other interior and exterior fixtures with precision and attention to detail.
  • Repair existing structures, replace damaged components, and ensure durability and safety standards are met.
  • Follow safety protocols, building codes, and company policies at all times.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and other trades to align carpentry work with overall project objectives.
  • Utilize materials efficiently to minimize waste and support cost-effective project delivery.
