About The Position

As a Carpenter with CXT, Inc., you will be responsible for fabricating and installing wooden and other infrastructure products according to job specifications.

Requirements

• 2+ years of precast or construction experience required
• 2+ years of previous experience as a carpenter required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Great hand dexterity and an eye for detail
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
• Understanding of English language both written and spoken
• Understanding of basic math
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; bend/stoop throughout day

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is preferred

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber
• Prefabricate window frames, and doors bucks
• Maintain inventory numbers and submit any material requisitions to management
• Work with a variety of carpentry hand tool and power tools or equipment
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Other duties as assigned
