About The Position

Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment in yards and on industrial and commercial properties. Works with materials including wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall, using carpentry and related tools to repair and erect structures. The role may include estimating dimensions, distances, quantities, time, costs, resources, and materials needed for work activities, as well as inspecting subordinate work for compliance with contract plans and specifications and addressing deficiencies.

Requirements

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Strong working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow, and communicate written and oral instructions effectively with management and supervision.
• Proficiency in the safe and efficient use of electrical tools, hand tools, power tools, layout tools, and measurement tools.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
• May require a U.S. driver license.
• Must have required tools.
• Able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across a construction or industrial site, if required.

• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time, costs, resources, and materials needed to perform work activities.
• Inspect subordinate work for compliance with contract plans and specifications, identify deficiencies, explain them, and take corrective action as needed.
• Observe and comply with safety and project rules, and perform other duties as required.
