About The Position

The Carpenter Helper is located in Meaford, Ontario and typically reports directly to the Structure Supervisor. Their primary focus is to provide support and assistance to the Structure Supervisor.

- Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance.

Responsibilities
- Understands the correct use, safety and maintenance of hand and power tools related to this type of work.
- Orders materials required for individual tasks
- Constructs, issues and receives target inventory
- Repairs and replaces targets
- Major building elements
- Membrane and shingle roof systems
- Window, door, and related hardware
- Lock sets and cuts keys
- Various floor coverings
- Bathroom partitions and hardware
- Wall coverings and painted surfaces
- Performs other tasks assigned
