About The Position
Austin Bridge & Road is seeking Carpenters - Form Builders to build and set forms for construction projects. The form setter/builder is responsible for building and setting forms in accordance with plan specifications. The role also assists with concrete placement and finishing, traffic control, erosion control, and general site cleanup. Work hours may be adjusted to meet project needs, including days, nights, and weekends, and the work may take place in adverse weather and hot or cold temperatures.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of construction experience
- Strong commitment to jobsite safety
- Diligence in demonstrating safe work practices
- Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States; the company cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position
Responsibilities
- Build forms according to plan specifications
- Set forms on line and grade
- Use power tools safely
- Use finishing tools such as bull floats (mops), straight edges, screeds, and hand floats
- Place and finish concrete according to plan specifications
- Follow instructions
- Assist with concrete placement
- Assist with concrete finishing
- Perform traffic control
- Install erosion control devices
- Perform general site cleanup
- Follow safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
