About The Position

Jr. Davis Construction Company Inc. is seeking Bridge Carpenters to build and construct bridges in the Kissimmee, Florida area or surrounding areas. The role involves assisting with the general operation of each job site and performing bridge construction work. Requirements

• At least 3 recent years of experience working as a Bridge Carpenter.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Maintain a safety-first attitude and strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude toward coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
• Be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and inclement weather, with exposure to loud noises, fumes, odors, gases, dust, and heavy traffic.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and use abdominal and lower-back muscles for sustained support.
• Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.
• Frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally objects weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights, such as on bridge beams or bridge caps.

Responsibilities

• Drive pile.
• Build wood and metal forms.
• Erect and demolish forms.
• Set and tie steel.
• Pour and finish concrete.
• Set up and maintain erosion control.
• Load and unload materials.
• Shovel dirt, gravel, and asphalt.
• Perform general cleanup around the job site.
• Check and maintain grade stakes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
