Requirements

• Hands-on experience with carpentry, wood framing, sanding, painting, or similar build work.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings.
• Familiarity with common hand and power tools and safe operation.
• Desire to build stronger carpentry skills and a drive to learn and grow.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Comfort with a variety of builds and a preference for learning new projects over repeating the same ones.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in scenic fabrication, exhibits, or event production.
• Familiarity with woodworking tools and equipment.
• Ability to handle low-voltage LED work.

Responsibilities

• Handle sanding, painting, framing, prep, assembly, and other basic carpentry work for custom displays, scenic pieces, and activations.
• Own support tasks to free up carpenters for higher-skill work and prevent build slowdowns.
• Read shop drawings and production notes before starting cutting, sanding, painting, or assembling.
• Maintain organized materials and work areas for efficient team access.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and installs to ensure projects are ready for events.
• Learn and take on higher-skill carpentry tasks as readiness develops.
