The Carelon Health Contract Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of Carelon Health client contracts, spanning multiple business units. This includes end-to-end oversight of contracting workflows, ensuring consistent intake, negotiation practices, version control, approvals and signature policies. The Contract Manager may also review and negotiate standard template agreements with guidance and oversight from Carelon Health attorneys.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of professional contract and negotiation experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent background.

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal certification and/or training in the legal field and/or healthcare contracting experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior legal ops experience to include first drafts of contracts/documents for legal review preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign CLM, Icertis, Agiloft, Conga) preferred; Conga strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AI contract review assistance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the contract approval process ensuring compliance with policies and regulations and maintain version control as well as timely execution.
  • Evaluate contracts for adherence to standard terms and business requirements.
  • Make suggested contract edits for attorney and business review.
  • Implement technology and software for contract lifecycle management that will streamline contracting workflows for increased efficiency.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to support contracting initiatives and develop contracting playbooks.
  • Maintain and update contract templates, conduct research, support administrative tasks, and maintain organized contract records.
  • Provide guidance to Carelon sales and accounts team members, ensuring quality and consistency throughout.
