About The Position

Amada Senior Care is hiring compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home support to seniors, including veterans. The role helps clients maintain independence, dignity, safety, comfort, and quality of life in their own homes. Caregivers serve Houston, Texas, and surrounding areas, traveling within a 20-mile radius of their home. The listed pay range is $12–$16 per hour. Full-time, part-time, and weekend opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
• At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel within a 20-mile radius of home.
• Willingness to work with both male and female clients.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Compassionate, dependable, supportive, and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly clients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, including showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with mobility inside and outside the home, including walks and doctor's appointments.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Complete grocery shopping or accompany clients on shopping trips.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties.
• Report unusual incidents and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Assist with activities essential to daily living.
