About The Position

Amada Senior Care is hiring compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home assistance to seniors, including veterans, in Houston, Texas, and surrounding areas. The role supports clients in maintaining their independence, dignity, safety, comfort, and quality of life at home. Caregivers may assist with companionship, personal care, medication reminders, mobility, meals, shopping, housekeeping, and other activities essential to daily living. The position requires travel within a 20-mile radius of the caregiver’s home and work with both male and female clients.

Requirements

Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
Willingness and ability to travel within a 20-mile radius of home.
Willingness to work with both male and female clients.
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Compassionate, dependable, supportive, and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly clients.
Assist with personal hygiene, including showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing.
Provide medication reminders.
Assist with mobility inside and outside the home, including walks and trips to doctor's appointments.
Plan and prepare meals.
Complete grocery shopping or accompany clients on shopping trips.
Perform basic housekeeping duties.
Report unusual incidents and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Assist with activities essential to daily living.
