Caregiver AM SHIFT 6 AM-2:30 PM

Fair Oaks Estates•Carmichael, CA

About The Position

Fair Oaks Estates is hiring a full-time morning Caregiver at its locally owned assisted living and memory care community in Carmichael, California. Caregivers provide direct resident care to support residents’ comfort, dignity, and independence. The morning shift is a busy period involving personal care, breakfast, and preparation for appointments and activities. Medication duties are handled by Med Techs, not caregivers. The shift runs from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM on a continuous four-days-on, two-days-off rotation. Days off move through the week, so employees work some weekends and holidays. Schedules are managed through an app that allows employees to view their rotation, pick up open shifts, swap shifts, and request time off. The position pays $16.90 to $17.90 per hour, with overtime paid at time-and-a-half under California law. Raises are based on performance, experience, and attendance. The role involves hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, support for residents with dementia, observation and reporting of changes in residents’ conditions, meal and activity support, housekeeping and documentation. Training is provided and paid. Employees must supply their own scrubs and appropriate shoes. The position reports to the Resident Care Director and Resident Care Coordinators.
