About The Position

Richland Square Assisted Living is seeking a caring, dependable caregiver who enjoys supporting older adults. The role provides hands-on assistance with residents’ daily activities while building meaningful relationships and helping residents feel comfortable, supported, and at home. Candidates may be a CNA, PCA, or RCA. This is a full-time position on the 3rd shift.

Requirements

Passion for the senior population.
High school diploma or GED.
State Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to think and work independently with direction from a team leader or manager while maintaining efficient, consistent communication.
Excellent oral communication skills when speaking with other health professionals in residents’ presence.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
Protect the confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Assist residents with daily living activities, including turning and ambulating them and delivering food and beverages.
Help residents with personal hygiene, including providing bedpans and helping them bathe.
Provide additional patient care as needed, such as delivering ice packs and dressings or providing baths for comfort after therapy.
Monitor and record food intake and urinary and fecal output for medical and nursing staff.
Process information from other professionals and work with physicians, caregivers, and nurses.
Use infection-control precautions and practices during all activities.
Know fire and emergency procedures and report safety violations.
