About The Position

Richland Square is seeking Certified Medication Technicians to administer medications and oversee resident care in a Memory Care Community. The role focuses on delivering high-quality medication administration and resident care. This is a full-time, second-shift position from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., with availability required every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
• Ability to express oneself adequately in written and oral communication and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to oneself or others.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
• Availability to work second shift, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
• Promote and protect residents’ rights and treat residents with dignity and respect.
• Attend in-service and education programs and complete continuing education required by state regulations.
• Remain calm under stressful conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the community dress code.
• Complete documentation in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Report changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor as soon as possible.
• Complete work schedules and assigned tasks according to community policies and procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and only use equipment for which training has been completed.
• Use infection-control precautions and practices in all activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures.
• Report safety violations.
