Urgently Hiring Day-Shift Caregiver
About The Position
Chanda Care, Inc., a locally owned, nurse-led home care agency, is urgently hiring Caregivers, Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and in-home caregivers to provide one-on-one care in clients’ homes throughout West Springfield and Western Massachusetts. The role is part-time, with flexible scheduling, and pays $18.50–$21.00 per hour. Caregivers help seniors and adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. The agency offers paid orientation and training, bi-weekly direct deposit, travel-time pay between clients, mileage reimbursement, caregiver support, and career-growth opportunities. Applicants must be available for at least three weekend shifts per month and meet the listed transportation, communication, screening, training, and work-authorization requirements.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Own a reliable personal vehicle.
- Current auto insurance.
- Availability to work at least three weekend shifts per month.
- Reliable smartphone and communication skills.
- Ability to pass required background and reference checks.
- Willingness to complete required training.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience as a PCA, HHA, CNA, DSP, Personal Care Aide, or Home Care Assistant is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Help with mobility, transfers, and daily activities.
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
- Provide dementia care and supportive assistance.
- Offer medication reminders.
- Follow individualized care plans and document services.
