Caregiver (Memory Care)
About The Position
The Memory Care Professional (MCP) provides non-medical companionship care to Tender Rose clients living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The role aims to improve quality of life for clients and their families through person-centered, activity-based care delivered with luxury-brand customer service. MCPs create individualized activities that engage clients’ social, emotional, physical, nutritional, intellectual, and spiritual abilities, helping provide meaningful moments throughout the day as the disease progresses. The position includes driving clients to outings and appointments in the caregiver’s own vehicle. Cases range from short shifts with flexible schedules, mostly during the day, to longer-hour cases. Full-time schedules consist of eight-hour shifts Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday. Part-time schedules consist of four-hour shifts, three to six days per week. Flex hours are also available. The role is based in St. Helena, Yountville, or Napa.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional caregiving experience.
- At least 1 year of dementia or Alzheimer’s care experience.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and a vehicle with current registration and insurance.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Home Care Aide clearance with the State of California.
- Timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment; a conditional offer will be rescinded if the applicant has a non-exemptible conviction, in compliance with applicable state and local laws.
