About The Position
Korean Women's Association (KWA) in Longview, WA is seeking full-time or part-time Caregivers to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. KWA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1979, committed to providing social services to diverse communities regardless of race or ethnic background. They offer support and services in senior wellness, in-home care, benefits enrollment, citizenship, affordable housing, and community health navigation. They are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and believe everyone deserves support. As a Personal Care Assistant - Caregiver, you will assist clients with daily activities, offer companionship, help with personal hygiene, and engage in conversation, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.
Requirements
- To be 18+ years old
- To have reliable personal transportation
- To hold a valid Washington State driver's license and auto insurance
- Be willing to become certified as a home care worker within a set amount of time
- Be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal history and reference check
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a caregiver or in a similar role
- A high school diploma, GED, or a foreign equivalent
- A compassionate demeanor and excellent communication skills
