About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking a caring, compassionate Caregiver to provide services to a client in the local area. Caregivers help patients remain safe and independent in their own homes by assisting with personal care, daily living activities, meals, housekeeping, laundry, errands, transportation, and companionship. Prior experience is not required. The agency provides paid initial training and ongoing training, offers flexible scheduling, and bases competitive pay on certifications and experience. Daily Pay is available, allowing employees to get paid the day after working. The role requires maintaining the confidentiality of patient information and being reliable, dependable, and punctual. Caregivers may assist clients with telehealth visits and perform laundry at a laundromat when needed. The position is with an independently owned and operated Home Helpers Home Care franchise; applications and hiring decisions are handled by the local franchisee.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver's license.
Have reliable transportation.
Pass a background check in accordance with state requirements.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information.
Assist with meal preparation, serving meals, cleanup, and eating as needed.
Provide personal care, including baths, dressing, grooming, denture care, and skin care.
Perform light housekeeping, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, taking out trash, cleaning the refrigerator, and washing and putting away dishes.
Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry, including using a laundromat when needed.
Assist with errands such as grocery shopping, picking up medical supplies or prescriptions, and going to the post office.
Assist with activities of daily living, shopping, errands, and transportation.
Assist with telehealth visits.
Provide companionship.
Be reliable, dependable, and punctual, with rare absences.
