About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide in-home services to a local client. Caregivers help patients remain safe and independent in their own homes by supporting daily living, personal care, meals, light housekeeping, errands, and companionship. Prior experience is not required. The agency provides paid, in-office initial training and ongoing training. Compensation is $12.00–$18.00 per hour, based on certifications and experience, with an additional $1–$4 per hour on select shifts. Daily pay is available. The role offers flexible scheduling and hours, and the local agency describes its work atmosphere as friendly and supportive. This position is with an independently owned and operated franchise; applications and hiring decisions are handled by the local franchisee.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation.
Must pass a background check in accordance with state requirements.

Nice To Haves

Personal Care Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant certification; compensation is based in part on certifications.
Prior experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Assist with meal preparation, serving meals, cleaning meal-preparation areas, and helping patients eat as needed.
Provide personal care, including baths, dressing, grooming, denture care, and skin care.
Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, taking out trash, dusting, cleaning the refrigerator, and washing and putting away dishes.
Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry, including completing laundry at a laundromat if needed.
Assist with errands such as grocery shopping, picking up medical supplies or prescriptions, and going to the post office.
Assist with activities of daily living, shopping, transportation, and telehealth visits.
Provide companionship.
Be reliable, dependable, punctual, and rarely absent from work.
