About The Position
Griswold Home Care for Howard County is actively hiring part-time Caregivers, CNAs, and PCAs to provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking support to older adults throughout Howard County, Maryland. The role involves assisting clients with daily tasks to help them live independently, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping. Caregivers may also assist clients with cognitive impairments or dementia with non-medical tasks such as feeding and bathing, always maintaining a respectful approach. Accurate documentation of care provided and timely updates to the office are essential. The position offers a sense of pride in making a difference in someone's life.
Requirements
- A caring, dependable, and responsible individual
- CPR Certification required
- TB Clearance per CDC guidance and Maryland RSA regulations
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration
- Willingness to travel within Howard County
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification is a plus, but not a requirement
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- One or more years of caregiving or home care experience is a plus — and caring for a loved one counts too!

Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking support to older adults.
- Assist clients with daily tasks to help them live as independently as possible.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Prepare meals.
- Assist with grocery shopping.
- Provide caregiving services to clients with cognitive impairments or dementia, including non-medical tasks such as feeding and bathing.
- Maintain a respectful approach to ensure clients maintain their dignity.
- Keep a log of the care provided during each shift.
- Submit accurate documentation to ensure consistent care.
- Check in with the office often, providing timely updates regarding client needs.
