About The Position

Haven Home Care is hiring Home Health Aides in Summit County, Ohio. This role involves assisting elderly clients with daily life activities in their homes, including bathing, dressing, meals, light cleaning, errands, and companionship. It is a physical role requiring caregivers to be on their feet most of the day and assist clients with mobility. Caregivers do not administer medication or perform medical tasks, as that is reserved for nurses. The company emphasizes that this is more than a job; it's a calling for individuals who genuinely care about the elderly community and are reliable. The position requires a commitment to showing up for clients who depend on this assistance. The company offers various pathways to qualify for the role, including those with an STNA license, HHA certificate, relevant experience, or no prior experience through free training. Caregivers are assigned clients based on their stated limits regarding pets, smoking, travel distance, days, and times, ensuring a good fit. The role involves regular clients, typically 2-4 per caregiver, with opportunities to pick up extra fill-in shifts. Shift lengths vary from 2-3 hours to 8 hours, and caregivers usually need to see multiple clients to reach 20+ hours per week. Flexibility means adhering to agreed-upon workdays and times, not unreliability. Haven Home Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a W-2 position participant in E-Verify.
