About The Position

Haven Home Care is hiring Home Health Aides in Summit County, Ohio. This role involves providing in-home care to clients, primarily older adults, assisting them with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meals, light cleaning, errands, and companionship. The job requires physical work, including assisting clients with mobility and being on your feet for most of the day. Caregivers do not administer medication or perform medical tasks, as that is reserved for nurses. The position is a W-2 job with bi-weekly direct deposit payments. The company emphasizes that this is a calling for individuals who genuinely care about the elderly community, not just for those seeking a paycheck, due to the vulnerability of the clients and their dependence on reliable caregivers. The role offers opportunities for pay raises based on performance, building client relationships, and earning bonuses through referrals and perfect attendance. Caregivers are matched with clients based on their stated limits regarding pets, smoking, travel distance, days, and times. The company guarantees work if a caregiver is flexible with their availability. Shifts can range from 2-3 hours to 8 hours, and caregivers typically have 2-4 regular clients per week to reach 20+ hours. 'Flexible' work means adhering to the agreed-upon schedule, not arbitrary absences. Document verification for identity and work authorization is required.
