About The Position
Companions Forever is hiring part-time caregivers for multiple service areas across Connecticut. The role provides non-medical home care in clients’ homes according to individualized Plans of Care. Caregivers may support clients with transportation, household tasks, personal care, companionship, documentation, and reminders. Flexible schedules are available, including weekdays, weekends, awake overnights, and live-in shifts. The company has provided non-medical home care services across Connecticut for over three decades and has staff available 24/7.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Open availability is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or companion.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical home care according to each client’s individualized Plan of Care.
- Transport clients to appointments and activities.
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and grocery shopping.
- Assist clients with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Document care and provide reminders as directed.
