About The Position
Companions & Homemakers is hiring for multiple service areas across Connecticut. They offer flexible scheduling including weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in shifts. The role involves providing non-medical home care, transporting clients, assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, grocery shopping, and personal care such as dressing, bathing, and mobility assistance. Caregivers will also offer companionship and emotional support, and document care provided. Companions & Homemakers has been a trusted name in Connecticut home care for over 35 years, treating caregivers like family.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Open availability preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
- Transport clients to appointments and activities
- Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
- Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
- Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
- Document care and provide reminders as directed
