About The Position
Menasha Corporation is a leader in the packaging industry, with two businesses: Menasha Packaging and ORBIS Corporation. We are seeking individuals to join our team at our Hartford plant. We offer opportunities for growth and a chance to be part of a company that makes a difference. We are currently hiring for General Labor and Machine Operator positions, with both day and night shifts available on a 2-2-3 schedule. Entry-level candidates are welcome, and training will be provided. Come to our Job Fair on Wednesday, August 12th, from 9am-4pm at 621 Wacker Dr. Hartford, WI 53027 to learn more about careers at Menasha.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment around moving equipment and personnel.
- Ability to read a tape measure or ruler accurately.
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel & bend over for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Safety‑sensitive role requiring constant alertness and the ability to work safely at all times.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as required by business needs.
- Effective teamwork skills and the ability to communicate with individuals across various roles.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Perform job functions in an accurate and efficient manner, such as machine operations including machine setup, packing, palletizing, bundling, stacking, and sorting
- Assist operators in efficient operation of the machine centers
- Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to customer standards
- Understand production work orders, load tags, time sheets and all other relevant documents, and palletizing instructions
- Understand computer system and input of data
- Perform quality checks on finished corrugated products and identify defects
- Maintain production efficiencies and standards
- Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of assigned equipment and surrounding work area
- Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
