About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors in Burr Ridge, Illinois. The goal is to help clients remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers follow each client’s care plan and support daily living, mobility, personal care, exercise, shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. They also report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator and respond responsibly to emergencies. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties and provides training for caregivers.

Requirements

At least 1 year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be reliable.
Must be willing to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside the home, including attending doctor’s appointments and going for walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
