About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care and help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and follow each client’s care plan. The agency provides training and serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. The position is in person in Homewood, Illinois, and may be full-time or part-time.

Requirements

At least one year of previous home care or caregiving experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Driver’s license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be reliable.
Willingness to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including during appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
