Immediate Need Caregivers | Flexible Schedule | Weekly Pay
About The Position
BrightStar Care of Louisville is hiring caregivers to provide uplifting in-home care for seniors and older adults who need companionship, a helping hand, and day-to-day assistance. Caregivers may work full-time or part-time on flexible schedules, with 6–12-hour shifts across home and facility assignments. Day shifts range from 7 AM to 7 PM, and overnight shifts run from 7 PM to 7 AM. Weekend and evening opportunities are available. The role includes personal care, transportation and accompaniment to appointments and errands, assistance with mobility activities specified in each client’s plan of care, and reporting observed changes to the Director of Nursing. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of formal caregiving experience in home care and/or a facility.
- Certified CPR and a negative TB skin test or chest X-ray; the employer will help candidates obtain these if needed.
- Licensed driver with an insured, reliable automobile and proof of insurance.
- Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull; assistance requirements vary with client mobility.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Caregiver, CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide/Assistant, or in a similar position.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers.
- Accompany clients to grocery stores, doctor appointments, and pharmacy visits.
- Assist clients with active and passive mobility work as defined by the plan of care.
- Document observed changes and report them to the Director of Nursing.
