About The Position

Visiting Angels is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes in the Morgantown area. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and provide comfort, companionship, and peace of mind to clients and their families. The role is open to experienced caregivers and people new to caregiving; the company provides training, support, and resources, including in-field shadowing and a six-week mentor program for new caregivers.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Pass background checks and drug screening.
Be compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Prior caregiving experience; however, experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting or incontinence care.
Provide mobility assistance and help with transfers.
Give medication reminders.
Transport clients to appointments and errands.
Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
