Caregivers, Aides & Personal Care Assistants
About The Position
We are looking for caregivers to help care for clients (mainly fragile, ill, disabled, and/or elderly), one-on-one, in their homes. We are a locally owned and operated home care agency with one owner, one office, and the same set of schedulers. Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- A valid driver's license & vehicle (to embark on epic grocery store runs and pharmacy adventures).
- Willing to drive up to 30 minutes to get to clients' homes.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and respond with empathy and understanding.
- A deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by patients and families at the end of life.
- A knack for turning everyday moments into unforgettable memories.
- The ability to find humor in even the most challenging situations, because laughter truly is the best medicine.
- We hire State Tested Nursing Aides (STNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Medical Assistants (MAs), Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), nursing students, retired nurses, retirees (from any field), empty-nesters, OR anyone else with a heart & desire to care for others, who are willing to learn and become a professional caregiver.
Responsibilities
- Spreading smiles wider than a Cheshire cat as you assist clients with their daily activities.
- Being the ultimate BFF (Best Friend Forever) to our clients, offering companionship, a listening ear, and endless cups of tea.
- Providing compassionate and personalized care to our patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and peace of mind.
- Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, with the utmost sensitivity and respect.
- Offering emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, creating a nurturing and reassuring presence.
- Channeling your inner Martha Stewart to whip up culinary masterpieces (or at least edible creations) in the kitchen.
- Channeling your inner superhero to tackle household chores and errands with finesse (cape optional).
- Keeping spirits high with your top-notch joke-telling skills and infectious laughter.
- Providing personalized care that would make even Mary Poppins proud.
