About The Position

Visiting Angels of Marble Falls is hiring a part-time Caregiver to support senior adults and home-care clients throughout the Highland Lakes area, including Marble Falls, Lampassas, Burnet, Buchanan Dam, and Llano. Caregivers help clients remain or recover at home with dignity. Visits vary according to client needs and may involve personal care, housekeeping, exercise encouragement, medication reminders, shopping, meal preparation, and mobility assistance. Caregivers must respond appropriately to medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances. The role calls for competency, compassion, and professional discernment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent time-management skills.
Reliable transportation to client visits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
Compassion and interest in providing meaningful companionship to vulnerable people.
Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Perform light housekeeping.
Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the appropriate times.
Help clients shop and put away groceries, or shop on their behalf.
Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, according to their abilities.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including moving around the home, attending medical appointments, and taking walks.
Act quickly in medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances.
