About The Position

Amada Senior Care is hiring caregivers in Sugar Land, Texas, to provide compassionate, non-medical in-home support to seniors, including veterans. Caregivers help clients live safely, comfortably, and independently in their homes by providing essential assistance, companionship, and emotional support. The role includes full-time and part-time opportunities, with flexible scheduling and weekend and overnight shifts. Caregivers may need to travel within a 20-mile radius of their home address and to surrounding areas. Pay is $12–$16 per hour. Online and hands-on training is provided to support caregiving skills and professional growth.

Requirements

Have a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Have at least 2 years of experience in healthcare or an in-home care environment.
Be willing and able to travel within a 20-mile radius of your home address and to surrounding areas.
Be willing and able to work with both male and female clients.
Be able to perform all essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Demonstrate a supportive, compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

Provide conversation, emotional support, and companionship to elderly clients.
Assist clients with personal care, including showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing.
Remind clients to take prescribed medications as directed.
Help clients move safely around their homes and accompany them on walks and to doctor's appointments.
Plan and prepare meals according to clients' needs.
Run shopping errands for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
Report unusual incidents and respond promptly and responsibly in emergencies.
Encourage and assist clients with activities essential to daily living.
