About The Position

Caregivers at Sevita help people grow, learn, and live well by building meaningful relationships and supporting individuals’ personal goals and community participation. The role includes assisting with personal hygiene and supporting individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs. Caregivers are expected to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and help participants take part in community activities and enjoy their interests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Skills in communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time management.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible behavior.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
• Support participants’ developmental goals, including budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Help participants take part in the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
• Assist individuals with personal hygiene.
• Support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
