About The Position
Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care is looking for a compassionate, dependable Part-Time Caregiver to provide personalized in-home care for a client in Tukwila, WA. If you take pride in helping others maintain their comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life, we would love to hear from you!
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association preferred/required as applicable
- Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable
- Able to work independently and follow a care plan
- Comfortable with meal preparation and basic housekeeping
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically able to perform caregiving duties
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Successful background check and reference verification
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Assist with ambulation inside and outside the home
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements
- Provide medication reminders as directed
- Assist with prescribed exercises and recommended activities
- Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
- Perform light housekeeping
- Assist with shopping and errands when needed
- Monitor and communicate changes in the client's condition or behavior
- Communicate with the client, family, nurses, and care team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or unusual situations
